Union‘s Tokyo outpost offers a well-curated selection that’s fairly similar to its Los Angeles forebear but it also occasionally hosts exclusive drops. Case in point, a bespoke backpack created by Outdoor Products, inspired by a militaristic PALS design and ready to be skated.

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) bags feature a special webbing at the front that’s utilized for equipment attachments (often MOLLE equipment) but its inherent versatility makes it a natural fit for Union’s street-leaning tastes. The rucksack design has been expanded to allow for a removeable front attachment while a sizeable cushioned PC pocket is tucked inside.

Furthermore, the bag’s nylon exterior is hardy enough to survive scuffs, which will be extra challenging to make out upon its black surface. Finally, bold yellow Union branding graces the pack’s top in alignment with the streetwear boutique’s penchant for statement graphics.

The special Outdoor Products Large PALS backpack launches on Union Tokyo’s website January 15 for ¥26,800 JPY (approximately $257 USD).

More stylish bags are constantly coming out of Japan: sacai recently dropped its Hank Willis Thomas tote and PORTER launched a Gundam collaboration.
