Stüssy‘s seasonal collections are often abetted by thoughtful experiments in textile, wherein the stalwart label updates high-spec or old-school design with its own sensibilities. Indeed, Spring 2021 appears to be no different, as the longstanding label is again serving up an assortment of covetable wearables in innovative makeups.

Comprising an efficient selection of layering pieces and trousers — alongside an assortment of graphic hoodies, T-shirts and more — the debut Stüssy Spring 2021 drop is packed with updated takes on staple pieces. For instance, a classic hooded pullover boasts toasty polar fleece in either black or olive tones, elevated with Stüssy’s script logo stitched at the chest. Elsewhere, a matching jacket and carpenter trouser set are crafted from suede and canvas, respectively, updating Stüssy’s Quality Workwear designs with tough, riveted shapes and functional detailing.

Perhaps the linchpin of the range is a variety of track jackets and matching pants boasting trim cuts and Pertex Unlimited shells. Compared to other technical textiles, like GORE-TEX, this iteration of Pertex is lighter, more packable and extra breathable — it’s not entirely weatherproof but it’s versatile enough to handle sudden downpours and slushy snow with ease.

Shop the first Spring 2021 delivery on Stüssy’s website and at global Dover Street Market locations.

Most recently, Stüssy memorialized one of its iconic images with a collaborative Mattel Magic 8 Ball toy.
