'King of Fighters XV' Trailer Reveals a 2021 Release
Five years after the release of its 14th installment.
Originally announced back in 2019 during the Evolution Championship Series tournament, King of Fighters XV has finally released a first-look trailer along with revealing the upcoming game’s release window.
The clip — which you can view above — gives fans of the franchise a closer look into what the 15th installment will entail, showcasing the first six characters including K’, Kyo Kusanagi, Leona, Benimaru, Shun’ei and Mai Shiranui in a more stylized art form than King of Fighters XIV. It also announces a release window of 2021, so we know the game will definitely arrive this year, although there’s no specific date just yet.
“We’re focusing on keeping the series’ staple of being fast-paced while also adding elements to make it more exciting,” says the project’s creative director Eisuke Ogura, adding that the developers are now in the stage of “brushing up features and optimizing the game.”
SNK will be releasing another trailer for King of Fighters XV in a week’s time.
