These Off-White™ "Out of Office" Sneakers Are Meant "FOR WALKING"
There’s no way you’ll ever forget with it stamped on the side.
Back in September 2020, Off-White™ unveiled its new “Out of Office” sneaker as part of the label’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection. Now, the Virgil Abloh-designed piece returns for 2021 with archetype design cues all around.
Served in white leather, the “Out of Office” sneaker is contrasted with black hand-written text reading “FOR WALKING” — something that’s previously been seen on a number of women’s shoes, cowboy boots, and heels. Now, the apt statement graces the “Out of Office” sneaker’s mid-panel, sitting underneath the recontextualized Off-White™ arrow logo.
The style references basketball and tennis sneakers, as a result delivering a classic and somewhat chunky aesthetic complete with an equally retro sole unit. On the midsole, you’ll notice gum-hued plugs embedded into the cream base, while the outsole is finished with circles and the new motifs that riff off of Off-White™’s current vision.
Similar motifs have been printed onto the heels of both feet in black, while a final signature Off-White™ design element in the form of a marble-printed security tag rounds out the sneaker.
