Brand Heritage Inspires Burberry's Future Archive Collection
A unique capsule of modernised signature pieces.
After ending the year with its Marcus Rashford-fronted winter campaign, Burberry begins this one by introducing its limited-edition “Burberry’s Future Archive,” a collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the label’s rich heritage in outerwear.
The house, who also recently announced plans to donate leftover fabrics to fashion students, has drawn on its plethora of archives for a collection that comprises diamond-quilted coats, bombers and field jackets, alongside luxuriously-crafted accessories like bucket hats, backpacks and scarves.
Classic in its design, yet modern and sleek in its execution, Riccardo Tisci reflects on the history of the house and its uniqueness, by adding unique product numbers to each piece of the collection to highlight both the garment’s exclusivity and Burberry’s new heritage.
Captured by Alessio Bolzoni, the campaign celebrates the dualistic contrast between modernity and timelessness, while models Jourdan Dunn and Adrian Chabada showcase the collection.
Set to be sold exclusively through Burberry’s website, Chicago flagship and Mytheresa, the Future Archive collection will be available from January 5.
