Joey Bada$$ Celebrates 26th Birthday With New Single "Let It Breathe"
Also marking the sixth anniversary of his debut studio album ‘B4.Da.$$.’
Joey Bada$$ gifted fans with a brand new single entitled “Let It Breathe” in celebration of his 26th birthday.
Produced by Statik Selektah, the cut kicks off with a jazzy intro before switching to a bass-dependent beat that hears the Pro Era co-founder look back at his stellar career. “Want you to celebrate me like I’m dead already / Like this crown up on my head is heavy / Put my picture in the dictionary, next to legendary / Swear I’m raising every bar / And it’s like they never ready / They throwing dirt up on my name like I’m already buried,” he raps, creating a strong foundation for the introspective track.
“Let It Breathe” also marks the sixth anniversary of his debut studio album B4.Da.$$. Fans have been looking for the followup to his 2017 sophomore effort All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, but with the release of his July 2020 EP The Light Pack and this brand new single, it seems like the artist has more in store this 2021.
