HOMME BOY's SS21 "S2-JKR" Collection Explores Difference Between Jester and Joker
Defined by emotive green and purple wares.
Following a brief hiatus, HOMME BOY has returned to pick up where it left off with its Spring/Summer 2019 “STOMA” collection.
Skipping ahead to Spring/Spring 2021, the seasonal range is dubbed “S2-JKR,” code for “STOMA Pt. 2 / JOKER.” Progressing past the dissection of elements of human anatomy, the latest collection investigates the psyche with an exploration of the difference between a jester and a joker. HOMME BOY drew distinct influence from both Cesar Romero’s portrayal of The Clown Prince of Crime and Joaquin Phoenix‘s gritty reimagining of DC Comics‘ Joker. Key pieces all express a color scheme of green and purple with the use velvet, leather and nylon.
Leading the SS21 collection are the Pleated Trucker Jackets and Velvet Blazers to be paired with the Hybrid Pants and Flared Trousers rendered in plush green and purple velvet. Aside from the Longsleeves With Gloves, tops include street-leaning graphic T-shirts emblazoned with bold playing card graphics. A range of convertible loose baggy fit Cargo Pants and Spade Logo, “FLECK” and “Joaquin” caps in amalgamated options serve to round up the apparel selection.
The diverse “S2-JKR” collection accessories includes the reissue of HOMME BOY’s signature Reverse Ball Necklace, along with the Ball Belt Chain and Cuban Belt Chain marked by a green and purple finish. Other styles include POCHE Leather Hats, bondage-inspired belts, Skinny Knit Scarf, Leather Lace Belt/Strap, Hybrid Fingerless Gloves and Raw-Edge Leather Scarf.
