EDEN Power Corp's Amadou Mushroom Hat Is Made of an Actual Mushroom
Taking sustainability in fashion to another level.
Showing its dedication to sustainability and environmental focus, Montreal-based EDEN Power Corp is now releasing hats made of actual mushrooms.
Part of the label’s Spring/Summer 2021 “Mycelium Research & Development” collection, the Amadou Mushroom Hats are handmade by local artisans in Corund, Transylvania with traditional methods. Each piece of amazing headwear is custom-made from a single mushroom that is boiled and felted into a tulip shape. Amadou is a spongy material derived from Fomes fomentarius (hoof fungus) mushrooms. With each hat made to match a specific size, the slight differences in colors or shape are part of the beauty.
Priced at 390 USD, the Amadou Mushroom Hat is available now for pre-order on EDEN Power Corp’s website until January 31 with delivery set for February/March. For each hat purchased, EDEN Power Corp will plant 20 trees in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects to save the forests.
