ASICS Serves Up Two Clean and Neutral Takes of the GEL-Lyte III OG
In case you needed to add any all-year-round staples to your rotation.
Still touted as one of the more popular silhouettes found within the ASICS lifestyle family, the GEL-Lyte III OG is being brought back this season in two new neutral heavy colorways. These brand new iterations have surfaced shortly after the model was reimagined in a new red “Daruma Doll” inspired makeover.
Up first is the release entry that falls on the darker side of the spectrum. Base layers of this ASICS proposal are chiefly presented with a stark black leather, and complemented by hits of white that make up the mid-foot netting, outlines of the tiger stripes, “GEL-LYTE III” heel branding and sock liners. Mated with this is a chalk white midsole that comes adorned with tonal ASICS branding, as well as an outsole that sees through to a full black outer.
The release sibling here is done up with a two-toned look comprised of lighter neutrals. Also constructed with supple leather uppers, this iteration is given a mostly white paint job and is offset with hints of soft grey that attach to the sock liners, mid-foot mesh, lateral rear text hits and the midsoles. Sandwiching underneath is treading that matches the aforementioned darker accents.
If you want to cop these extra-versatile kicks, you can expect them to release on January 15 at select retailers like atmos for ¥13,000 (approx. $124 USD ) a piece.
