Official Look at the Air Jordan 9 "University Gold"
Jordan Brand adds another footwear option to its January 2021 repertoire.

Michael Jordan‘s footwear imprint has made quite the statement in terms of new releases in this first month of the new year, and now it will be making space for one more launch in its January release calendar with the Air Jordan 9 “University Gold”. The rendition’s release date has been confirmed shortly after Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 4 “Taupe Haze” by way of official imagery.
Last summer, the “University Gold” theme was applied the Air Jordan 12, but this time around it is being used in such a way that shows off the the titular hue in more understated fashion.
Nubuck uppers are given a stark black complexion and feature five tonal and pockmarked panels atop the side walls that gradually enlarge as you move from front to back. Alongside this, a reflective overlay acts as the mudguard and finishes at the heels, while “University Gold” hits the interior lining, as well as the global Jumpman insignias and “23” notations down the back.
Outsoles are also given a jet black paint coat, and feature a pop of more titular accents via the slightly-tilted Jordan logos placed towards the lateral heel.
