Superga Releases The 2941 Sneaker Customization Project
In collaboration with Italy’s top five retailers.
Superga has released its 2941 sneaker customization project in collaboration with five top Italian multi-brand stores, aiming to reinvent one of the brand’s most iconic trainer models.
For the project, retailers have personalized the Superga unisex 2941 model, creating unique and exclusive renditions that mix the values of the brands involved. The sneaker, coming in suede leather with cotton lining and a vulcanised natural rubber sole, stands out from the swallow tail on the side – the distinctive symbol of the sneaker brand that’s based in Turin.
Retailers included in the customisation of the 2941 are Antonia Milano, a boutique that acts as a point of reference for fashion enthusiasts and emerging designers, Société Anonyme, an independent shop of North European conception and minimal-bohemian inspiration, SOTF, a project born with the opening of the sneakershop in Via de Tornabuoni in Florence, Deliberti, an elegant and luxurious set of boutiques in the heart of Chiaia in Naples, and Folli Follie, a group consisting of eight boutiques. Alongside this avant-garde project, the packaging will have a special customization inside.
Antonia Milano’s rendition features three camouflage patterns in three shades of colour while Superga x SOTF is characterised by a mix and match of materials. The Superga x Folli Follie sneaker takes inspiration from the art world – with artist Emma Allegretti involved in the shoe’s customisation – Société Anonyme’s model is characterised by the application of the store logo as a pattern, and Deliberti deliver two different renditions, a total black suede look mixed with green and white, and a total beige with tones of burgundy and black.
