Tawainese label oqLiq has unveiled its official lookbook for Fall/Winter 2020, a collection comprising essential outerwear pieces all delivered in a typically autumnal color palette.

First presented at New York Fashion Week earlier this year, oqLiq continues to draw on homegrown concepts from its birthplace of Taiwan — like Buddhism and Taoism Tai Chi — in both its spirit and design. Fei, Yi, Sichuan, Jiu, Yong, Shang, Xia, Rain and other Chinese characters have been imagined into the apparel, to create an offering of tailored, ready-to-wear garments.

The collection is made up of coats, jackets, overshirts, trousers, shirts, jumpers, hoodies and gilets, all arriving in functional waterproof materials, all sourced from Taiwan. In typical oqLiq style, the design and color of each season is a way of conveying the brand’s spirit; through combining these locally sourced materials with a cultural context, the brand aims to offer a true representation of Taiwanese culture in each product.

The full oqLiq FW20 collection is set to drop later this month and will be available from the brand’s online store.

In other news, VEILANCE’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection arrives steeped in nuanced utility.
