Halloween is right around the corner which means you can expect a number of ghost and ghoul themed footwear options to match the influx of pumpkin spiced everything. Nike will be partaking in the annual costumed holiday once again and the first look at the Swoosh’s plans for this year is this Nike Air Max 97 colorway. There’s a refreshing lack of orange or any Jack-o’-lantern thematics here, as the look instead opts for a playful dose of oozing glow-in-the-dark slime and iridescent piping.

The latest Air Max 97 also utilizes a glow-in-the-dark outsole with contrasting purple suede panels and a bright crimson Swoosh as if it were a monster’s eyes glaring out at you from underneath the bed. While there’s yet to be a release date announced for this pair, you can expect an arrival in the next month — and in all likelihood, matching looks for other archival Nike retros pairs will drop along with this AM97. Be sure to revisit HYPEBEAST’s Halloween Sneaker Guide from 2019 for more.

In other footwear updates, Concepts and Nike SB are collaborating on a new SB Dunk High Pro “Duck” edition.
