IKEPOD Finds Rare NOS KAWS Horizon Watch in Inventory
Along with other Marc Newson-designed gems.

IKEPOD has just opened up a new “Vintage Corner” page selling its last Gen 2 of watches. With the watch brand’s return to the market in 2018, IKEPOD’s new direction offered fans the chance to own one of its signatures Marc Newson designs at a fraction of the price — the more affordable Gen 3.
Many loyal followers will remember that the original series of IKEPOD watches not only carried Swiss movements, as opposed to the current line up of Miyota-powered watches, but also had extremely limited collaborations with the likes of KAWS and Jeff Koons.
Found in 2017 when cleaning out the old workshop were non assembled watches, movements, prototype dials, and new old stock watches that were last produced in the Gland, Switzerland workshop. Now, for the first time in almost a decade, these watches are available to the public; watches like the ceramic 2012 Solaris, the 2013 Only Watch-exclusive red dial Horizon, and one of the rarest pieces ever made from IKEPOD, the Colette-exclusive KAWS Red Dial Horizon. The X-handed watch is powered by an ETA 2892 movement, and its hour hand is identified by the white paint at the tip with each of the Chomper’s teeth representing one hour. Just 1/100, a similar KAWS IKEPOD collaborative model was auctioned earlier this year for around $300,000 HKD (approximately $38,708 USD).
