Netflix Examines the Watts Family Murders in New True Crime Documentary 'The Family Next Door'
Focusing on Chris Watts and the disappearance of his pregnant wife, Shan’ann,’ and their two daughters.
Netflix has released a trailer for its forthcoming true-crime documentary, American Murder: The Family Next Door.
Billed as a “gripping and immersive examination of the disintegration of a marriage,” the film is centered on the 2018 disappearance of Chris Watts’ pregnant wife, Shann’ann, and their two daughters, Bella and Cece. Their marriage was always seen and publicized as a happy one, however, when more details of the true nature of their relationship began to surface, it was apparent that Chris was not the man people he thought he was. The Family Next Door features body camera footage from when the police searched the family home, Chris’ interview with investigators and his polygraph test.
