Inspired by subculture and the energy of youth, Raf Simons has teamed up with Fred Perry to design a collection that pays homage to one of London’s most renowned music venues: the 100 Club.

Located in the heart of Oxford Street, the iconic basement club has played host to the likes of The Who, The Kinks, Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones, The Clash and more.

To celebrate the venue’s rich history, Raf Simons — currently co-creative director of Prada — has reinterpreted classic Fred Perry pieces and infused them with the sensibilities of his eponymous line and decorated them with images from the 100 Club Stories book.

The Fred Perry pique polo shirt has been reworked in a way that feels fresh, darted with digitally printed photographs that are detachable thanks to a branded pin badge. Woven shirts arrive oversized donning various patches, all while retaining traditional Fred Perry shirting details.

A chunky knit jumper is also oversized, with fixed patches on the back and sleeve, while a long coat also features and comes in a fit similar to that of the Raf Simons mainline collection. Dropped shoulders on sweatshirts complete the collection, with logo applications housed on a palette of black, red, blue and white.

The full Fred Perry x Raf Simons collection launches on September 17 and will be available via the Fred Perry webstore.

In other fashion news, Wood Wood and RAINS have teamed up to deliver a range of outerwear, hats and more, ideal for drizzly Danish weather.
