16-Year-Old Chloe Chambers Has Set the Record for Fastest Vehicle Slalom

The Guinness World Record for the Fastest Vehicle Slalom has just been broken by 16-year-old Chloe Chambers. Coming off a previous record from China in 2018, the seasoned kart racer took the challenge in Porsche‘s manual transmission 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder. The most powerful from the 718 line up (including the 718 Cayman GT4), the Porsche 718 Spyder pushes out 414 horsepower @ 8,000 rpm via a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer six-cylinder engine.
The record saw Chambers weave through 51 cones, equally spaced at 50-foot intervals, in a time 47.45 seconds. “We couldn’t be more proud that Chloe set the record. From the whole Porsche family, we send our heartfelt congratulations – we’re pleased to have been able to support Chloe with her ambitious record attempt and share her relief that it was successful,” said Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America.
Chambers commented with: “It looks easy, but it’s really not – to weave between 50 cones as fast as possible, trying to beat a record time and knowing I couldn’t touch a single one for the run to count – I definitely felt the pressure.” Watch the video above to witness Chloe Chambers’ Guinness World Record run in the 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder.
