Noon Goons Returns With '90s Surf-Punk Staples for SS21
Along with a lookbook produced, styled and shot by founder Kurt Narmore.
For the Spring/Summer 2021 season, Noon Goons is capturing the diverse Los Angeles landscape in one cohesive collection. From the sun-soaked beaches and palm-filled skylines to the the grit of Downtown’s concrete jungle, the collection explores SoCal surf, hip hop and punk aesthetics — all of which are found at the heart of the brand. In addition to designing the collection, founder Kurt Narmore produced, styled and shot the lookbook — which features a Newport Beach local whom Kurt found while surfing — during quarantine.
Designed and developed in Downtown Los Angeles, the collection features bleached denims, animal prints, studded diamond leather and vinyl. The apparel’s materiality, textures, patterns and prints all reference mid-90’s to early-2000’s icons. Key items include the Public Image Jacket, Foamer Shorts and Glasser Denim Pant. Elsewhere, zip-up hoodies and work jackets boast zebra stripes, while sweatsuits arrive in vibrant summer-hued tones.
