mastermind JAPAN Links With Lacoste For “Underground Tennis” Collection
A monochrome take on signature pieces.
Following its recent collaboration with Converse Addict, mastermind JAPAN returns alongside French label Lacoste for a monotone release entitled: “Underground Tennis”.
Founded in 1997 by Masaaki Honma, mastermind JAPAN is known for its eye-catching designs and its instantly-recognisable skull logo. This collection offers a more monotone outlook from the Japanese brand however, and merges it with Lacoste’s penchant for sporty aesthetics.
Consisting of a hoodie, polo shirt, T-shirt and a pair of sneakers, the black and white shades throughout the collection results in a premium feel. Lacoste’s crocodile logo comes in a special black specification, while the Japanese brand’s crossbone motif appears on the back of each item.
Based on Lacoste’s Carnaby tennis shoe, the collection is completed with a co-branded premium white leather sneaker with laser-cut crocodile logos on the sides and skull prints on the heel.
The mastermind JAPAN x Lacoste “Underground Tennis” collection launches on August 21 and will be available from the Lacoste JP webstore.
In other news, Suicoke joins forces with TOGA and BlackEyePatch for several double-material Japanese shoes.
