NAHMIAS and The Shoe Surgeon's "Dawn 70" Is a $1,000 USD Custom Converse
The highs retail for even more at $1,250 USD.

Designer Doni Nahmias of his eponymous label NAHMIAS has teamed up with The Shoe Surgeon for the release of the “Dawn 70,” a custom sneaker based on the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70 Hi and Low.
The shoes have been reconstructed from the sole up. A new platform sole has been added in Converse’s signature off white-hue which features a black running stripe, a grippy gum outsole, and new license plate motifs sporting the phrase “Kick Rocks,” which is the designer’s motto and Californian slang for “get out of my way, I’m chillin’ and focused.”
Elsewhere around the shoe, the duo has added a tongue crafted from silk with an all-over paisley jacquard pattern adorning it, and has even laser engraved the toes with “Miracle” and “Patience,” which is a reference to the creation of the NAHMIAS brand. There’s also a set of silk ribbon laces, leather medial tabs that replace Converse’s badge with the two collaborators’ logos, and new tongue tags to match.
NAHMIAS x The Shoe Surgeon’s “Dawn 70” comes in two styles — a Low for $1,000 USD, and a Hi for $1,250 USD. Both can be seen above, and purchased from the NAHMIAS website now. Due to the custom nature of the collaboration, delivery will take up to two months from when they are ordered.
