EARTHGANG Transforms Into Puppets for "Top Down" Visual
Going on adventures in Atlanta and under the sea.
Dreamville duo EARTHGANG have shared an accompanying music video for “Top Down,” a cut from their major label debut album Mirrorland.
Olu and WowGr8 linked up once again with creatives Chad Tennies and Mac Grant (“Ready to Die,” “Up”) for the visual, which shows the pair’s puppet forms going on different adventures. They can be seen riding around Atlanta, visiting strip clubs and even going under the sea to hang out with some mermaids.
Shortly before the release of the video, Olu dropped an impressive cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and wrote an insightful guest editorial on love and humanity. He dedicated the rendition to his late father and reflected on the state of the world during this pandemic, writing, “[Greed and hate] run rampant across the globe, causing untold hardship for the human race and mother nature. These are the perfect breeding grounds for institutional racism. Stripping opportunities and quality of life away from a group of people simply because they are different or to profit, hurts entire nations and causes countries to crumble in ruin.”
