ASICS Taps Sneakerwolf for GEL-LYTE XXX "WELCOME TOKYO" Pack
Artful Kanji-inspired graffiti prints for the vibrant runners.

ASICS has signed on Sneakerwolf for a bold Japan-inspired capsule dubbed “WELCOME TOKYO.” The collaboration spotlight’s Sneakerwolf’s signature grafitti Kanji prints over two brightly colored GEL-LYTE XXXs, alongside three graphic T-shirts.
As the capsule’s name suggests, the designs reflect a sense of hospitality, welcoming “visitors from all corners of the world back to Japan and Tokyo.” The GEL-LYTE XXXs come in red and blue colorways, tweaked with a slightly extended neoprene tongue printed with English letters, imagined as a Kanji character, that spell out “ASICS.” Split semi-translucent overlays are placed over the tongue, complemented by round black laces and netted sidewalls that cover contrasting side stripes. “SWOLF” is stamped over the shoe’s leather heel pull, below which two Kanji motifs are placed at the heel. Other details like a shiny gold TPU heel support, lush suede panels at the forefoot and “GEL-LYTE XXX” branding along the midsole round off the silhouette’s bold design. Furthermore, the graphic tees, colored in red, white and blue, are also emblazoned with the aforementioned Kanji-inspired “ASICS” motif at the back, while a small “A” print is placed at the upper left chest.
The Sneakerwolf x ASICS GEL-LYTE XXX “WELCOME TOKYO” pack will be available on July 24 exclusively on sneakerwolf and GR8’s website for $158 USD per pair.
