Check Out This Footage of a Life-Size Gundam Being Tested in Yokohama
The 18m-tall Gundam was captured walking.
As the opening day for GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA, Japan approaches, the finishing touches on the 9000 sqm facility are being put together. One of the highlights of the attraction is a life-size, 18 meter-tall Gundam.
Suspended over Yokohama Yamashita Pier, the functioning Gundam (sans-head) was captured doing some initial tests involving lights, the moving of its torso, and even walking. The scene is the closest thing available in imagining what real-life Gundams would look like if being built in a factory.
Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam can expect the GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA to open October 1. For more information, head over to the Gundam Factory’s dedicated website.
