The Notorious B.I.G. remains one of the most popular and influential rappers in the world almost a quarter century after his passing, so British jeweler Johnny Hoxton and Ryca are celebrating Biggie’s legacy with a special incense chamber. Presented as a bust of the beefy Brooklyn rapper, the incense chamber features a keen attention to detail and functional construction, making it an ideal centerpiece for any hip-hop fan’s home.
Done up in white ceramic, the two-piece structure features Biggie’s head and shoulders, hollowed out so incense can be lit and placed inside. Hypnotizing smoke escapes through holes in the rapper’s nose — fitting, as B.I.G. was known to be a prolific smoker — as well as the rear of his neck and the shoulder-shaped base. The rapper’s eyes, ears, nose, mouth, chin and hair are all sculpted artfully for a proper tribute, and the statue comes with a grinder and two packs of incense that state “Spread love, that’s the Middle way” for a clever British nod to B.I.G.’s smash hit “Juicy.”
Johnny Hoxton’s The Notorious B.I.G. incense chamber is set to release at European retailers like BSTN on July 31, and is priced at €400 EUR (approximately $469 USD).
