First seen at the mini-presentation held at COMME des GARÇONS‘ Tokyo headquarters, the Japanese company has now released official imagery of its HOMME PLUS line’s collaborative
The mid-top silhouette debuted in 1993 with two striking colorways and popped up sporadically as a reissue (including the classic black/purple/green colorway’s return in 2010) and as 2015’s Nike Free. COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS’ revisions retain much of the silhouette’s signature detailing, including a neoprene shaft, adjustable strap and sculpted, grippy outsole.
Most obviously, the tall cross training shoe takes on a tonal black or white shade, complete with reflective panels on the mid, shaft and Nike-branded strap. Contrasting COMME des GARÇONS branding is embroidered on the heel and the insole to reinforce the collaborative nature.
