Released in 2012, the UR-210 is one of Urwerk‘s signature timepieces, boasting a dynamic rotor that allows its wearer to customize the luxurious watch to fit their needs. After an eight-year run, however, the Swiss manufacturer is dropping the curtain on this model, offering it a proper sendoff with the “Last Edition”

Retaining dual power indicator displays, the uniquely shaped sapphire crystal and recognizable case design that UR-210 fans know and love, the “Last Edition” dresses the watch in muted gunmetal grey titanium and steel, accented by black PVD and red text on the face. The strikingly symmetrical timepiece also boasts the retrograde hand feature, which counts the minutes until it reaches 60 and then flies back to zero with an audible “snap,” highlighting the beginning of each new hour.

Co-founder Martin Frei admits that the inimitable case wears its inspiration on its sleeve (no pun intended) but it’s equal parts form and function. “There is a certain amount of G-SHOCK in this design element,” he said in a statement. “I like a three-dimensional topography of the case because it encourages both the eyes and hands to interact with it.”

Visit Urwerk’s site for details on the UR-210 and expect the “Last Edition” to be made available to brand loyalists for CHF 137,000 (approximately $144,000 USD).

Elsewhere, Frederique Constant issued more iterations of its own alligator strap-clad timepieces with two new Flyback Chronograph Manufacture watches.
