Accompanied by a retro CGI music video.

Ashnikko continues her ascent to world takeover with a striking visual for her new single, “Cry.” Accompanied by pop pioneer Grimes, the animated music video is violent, visceral and steeped in retro CGI.

The brief two-minute track, directed by Mike Anderson, sees a mutated Ashnikko/Grimes hybrid stalking and disemboweling its prey to the sound of Ashnikko’s intimidating verses (“Lay another finger on me / You could lose a hand”), before launching into its earworm chorus. Ashnikko holds nothing back, roaring “B*tch / Are you tryna make me cry,” warning that “This could get gruesome.” After a minute, the video travels from Ashnikko’s space-traveling mecha to Grimes’ fairy forest hideaway to show how the two merged in the first place.
