NEIGHBORHOOD Taps Mr. Cartoon for Expansive "Uncle Toons Mart" Capsule
Featuring a custom incense chamber inspired by the Chevy Impala.
NEIGHBORHOOD has called in artist Mr. Cartoon for an expansive capsule dubbed “Uncle Toons Mart.” First seen two weeks ago as a three-way project with Vans, the second installment of the lineup has been unveiled.
Leading the capsule is a ceramic incense chamber depicting Mr. Cartoon’s signature character Uncle Toons, riding in one of the artist’s favorite cars — Chevy Impala. The piece has been intricately crafted with fine details that outline the character’s face, alongside other nuanced parts like a tattoo on its left and right arms and the sleek body of the Chevy. A small smoke hole is placed at the character’s mouth, while light blue co-branding is placed at the bottom of the chamber.
The capsule also comes with a diffuser that’s modeled after a beer bottle. It comes with a shiny gold band, complemented by light yellow fluid in the bottle. The diffuser lets out rich citrus scents of lemon, orange, peppermint and eucalyptus, complemented by middle notes of lavender, vetiver, cedarwood and oakmoss. Other pieces in the lineup include co-branded garments like short-sleeve button-ups, hoodies, long-sleeves, T-shirts, shorts and socks, enlivened by bold graphics atop base colors of royal, black and white.
