BILLY's and PUMA Unveil "KATANA"-Inspired STYLE RIDER
Portraying a silver blade cutting across sleek black shades.
BILLY’s and PUMA have teamed up for an expressive take on the STYLE RIDER, a subtle rework of PUMA’s retro FAST RIDER silhouette from the ’80s. This collaboration follows BILLY’s project with Vans on a set of suede-tinged Bold Ni LXs.
Dubbed “KATANA,” BILLY’s conceptualized the colorway based on the art of crafting the traditional Japanese sword. Dominated by a mix of sleek black suede and nylon, much of the uppers are constructed with an understated texture, setting the foundation for a sharp silver side-stripe panel that cuts across the sidewalls. “PUMA” branding is embroidered at the top of the tongue over a smooth batted nylon base, also showing up along the toebox. Furthermore, PUMA’s logo is stamped at the heel counter, complemented by a glossy rubber overlay while wavy dark gray mudguards complete the uppers. All of these details rest over a speckled midsole, underscored by a lightly treaded outsole that curves slightly up at the toecap.
The BILLY’s x PUMA STYLE RIDER “KATANA” is currently available on BILLY’s website for $122 USD.
