Mars89 and UNDERCOVER's “The Droogs Against War” Capsule Has Landed
With a part of proceeds going to charity.

UNDERCOVER has tapped Tokyo-based producer Mars89 for a concise capsule of military-inspired garments and graphic T-shirts. Dubbed “The Droogs Against War,” the lineup was first revealed back in February, showcasing four bold posters offering a glimpse of some of the pieces; the assemblage has finally landed.
One noteworthy piece is an olive field jacket that comes with lightly brushed cotton construction mirroring the lived-in texture that’s often found in vintage mil-spec. It boasts a slightly oversized fit, complemented by epaulets, twin chest pockets, reinforced elbow patches and a large nylon pouch at the back near the bottom left hem. As a finishing touch, the piece comes with a black patch that’s sewn over the upper left chest pocket, displaying the words “PART OF THE SALES WILL BE DONATED TO A CHARITY ORGANIZATION THAT ASSISTS REFUGEES.” Its matching pants boast the same detail at the left back pocket.
Another highlight is a black T-shirt emblazoned with thinly sketched outlines of four figures wearing “Droog” masks, seen in Stanley Kubrick‘s A Clockwork Orange, raising their fists in unison. “MARS89” is placed above the print, followed by the words “STANCE,” “HORRORSTORY” and “ULTRAVIOLENCE” below. Other pieces like the logo-clad long-sleeves and the Renaissance Art-inspired graphic tee round up the concise range.
The Mars89 x UNDERCOVER 2020 Capsule is currently available on UNDERCOVER’s website, ranging from $175 – $702 USD.
