Apple Rumored to Rename iOS to "iPhone OS"
The news could come at WWDC 2020, along with the reveal of the reworked Air Power.
Ahead of WWDC 2020, rumors are now noting that Apple could be planning to change the name of its mobile operating system iOS.
According to Apple insider John Prosser, the rename could be “iPhone OS” in line with the OS naming scheme of other products like the iPad OS, Watch OS and Mac OS. Keeping the rumors coming, Prosser also posted an image of the previously canceled AirPower wireless charging pad. The post also notes that Apple has worked out the issue with its watches and is now ready to bring the product to market.
