Reading & Leeds Festival 2020 Officially Cancelled
Rage Against The Machine, Stormzy and Liam Gallagher were billed as this year’s headliners.

Reading & Leeds Festival 2020 is officially cancelled, dealing another blow to the struggling live music industry.
Organizers of the premier U.K. festival announced the event’s cancellation with a lengthy statement, “Reading and Leeds will no longer be taking place this year. We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and we were hopeful we could deliver the ultimate festival to you in August, something to look forward to in these strange and confusing times. However, it has become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead.”
The festival continued to thank loyal patrons for their support and understanding, providing them with information for ticket refunds or retainment. Organizers also promised a much better installment next year, writing, “We’re already counting down the days to when we’re back in the fields we call home for the August Bank holiday weekend. We promise you that Reading and Leeds 2021 will be worth the wait.”
Reading & Leeds Festival is annually scheduled over a three-day weekend in August, simultaneously taking place in Reading and Leeds in England. This year’s festivities were supposed to be led by Rage Against The Machine, Stormzy and Liam Gallagher along with supporting acts like JPEGMAFIA, Run The Jewels, Migos, slowthai, Denzel Curry and more.
Elsewhere in music, Future announced the arrival of his upcoming album, High Off Life.
