Fresh off a colorful 827 collaboration with Stray Rats, New Balance has presented its made-in-the-USA 1300 in a woodsy “Green/Grey” colorway. With bold colorblocking and the high-quality construction NB fans have come to expect from the brand’s domestically produced products, the “Green/Grey” is striding into summer in style.
The silhouette’s refined construction is made of two main pieces: a dark grey nylon base layer and supple forest green suede overlays. Tan also gets into the mix on the midfoot’s large N logo, the heel tab and the fabric tongue tag. White laces atop a green mesh tongue hold these simultaneously supple and sporty pieces together, with further stability ensured by a black plastic heel clip.
On the lower half, trim ENCAP midsoles are split between dense tan foam and soft white foam for a lauded blend of cushioning and support that’s been in style ever since the 1300 debuted all the way back in 1984. Toothed black outsoles — similar to the style seen on New Balance’s ever-popular 574 — round off the look.
This New Balance Made in USA 1300 “Green/Grey” is available now on the New Balance webstore, and is priced at $170 USD.
