Jayda G Announces New EP, Shares Sun-Drenched House Cut "Both Of Us"

Canadian producer and DJ Jayda G has announced her new Both Of Us / Are U Down EP, which arrives on July 3 courtesy of Ninja Tune. To commemorate the news, Jayda has shared lead single “Both Of Us,” delivering the track alongside a sun-drenched feel-good visual.

Sharing a bit about the track’s inception, Jayda G shares that “I wanted to make a happy house song.” She continues, “The uplifting vocal, the slow breakdown, the release, those are a key part of so many of those classic house tracks I’ve found through digging over the years, and I really wanted to emulate the feeling I get from those.”

The new EP will feature the new track as well as “Are U Down,” including remixed variations of each from Jayda G herself. The new project follows 2019’s debut album, Significant Changes, as well as her recent year-long BBC Radio 1 Residency. “I really wondered if releasing the record right now was the right thing to do,” she notes. “Things can feel really f*cking depressing at the moment, but the amount of messages I’ve been getting about the track, even during lockdown when people are unable to even be in clubs or at festivals, that really convinced me that now was the right time.”
