Foot Locker Premieres Exclusive Nike and Jordan Summer Packs

Foot Locker, Nike and Jordan Brand have worked together to create two space-inspired summertime footwear packs: “Supernova 2020” for men and “P(HER)SPECTIVE” for women. Made up of Air Maxes, Air Forces and Air Jordans, both capsules look to the cosmos for inspiration, but each interprets it in a vastly different fashion.

“Supernova 2020” is all about Air Maxes, with fresh takes on the Air Max 90, Air Max Plus and Air Max 270 React. Although all three are undeniably striking, the 90 is the most notable with its purple-and-black based print and large metallic accoutrements. In uncommon fashion, the Plus is the most subtle of the bunch — at least as subtle as a sneaker with metallic details and star print can get — using a black and white base with chrome tongues and dashes of red. Last but not least, the 270 React puts forth a sweltering star pattern with reds, purples and yellows. It’s embellished further by yellow trim and accents plus a retrofuturistic tongue logo.

“P(HER)SPECTIVE” offers a clever play on words and vivid re-works of two popular 1s: the Air Jordan 1 and the Air Force 1. Each puts forth a pastel suede base — peach on the AJ1, soft purple on the AF1 — and shows off a large metallic silver tongue badge. The Air Jordan 1’s signature details arrive via a cloudy blue, yellow and pink print on the overlays plus a metallic silver midfoot Swoosh. The AF1 boasts a three-layer Swoosh and special hangtag. There’s also a special kid-centric “Sky” pack made up of Air Max 97s, Air Max Pluses and an Air Force 1.

Both the “Supernova 2020” and “P(HER)SPECTIVE” packs will release via the Foot Locker webstore this June. Retail prices have yet to be announced.
