Doja Cat Taps Nicki Minaj for Remix of "Say So"
Laying rest to rumors that the two had been beefing.
Doja Cat has tapped Nicki Minaj for a remix of Doja’s viral Hot Pink hit “Say So.” The new track comes after a slew of fans circulated rumors that the two artists had bad blood, even though Doja and Nicki have never spoken about any animosity between each other.
Earlier this week, a leaked version of the track initially appeared online, with Nicki herself stating that it wasn’t the “official version,” further noting that the “new one drops soon with diff rap & diff beat.” On the official track, both Doja and Nicki offload their characteristic energy over a reworked beat. “Pretty like Naomi, Cassie, plus Lauren/Spittin’ like Weezy, Foxy, plus Lauryn,” Nicki raps over the track, mimicking the flow of their co-written chorus. She similarly references her status as a legend within the industry as well as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
