BALMUDA Brings Minimalistic Japanese Homeware Overseas
Introducing the toaster and kettle in black or white.

Tokyo-based technological imprint BALMUDA is bringing its ultra-minimalist homeware goods to the United States, introducing its kettle and toaster overseas for the first time.
The kitchen goods released in 2015 and immediately grew a cult following for their minimalistic aesthetic and innovative technology. BALMUDA, which is founded by former rock musician Gen Terao, prides itself on the toaster’s use of steam technology, which combined with four temperature settings comes together to produce the ultimate crunchy yet moist toast.
It achieves this by using just one teaspoon of water which is placed into a compartment. Other features of the BALMUDA toaster include being able to cook frozen food and reheat bread. Joining the toaster is the kettle, a superbly clean and lightweight offering that comes with a gooseneck spout, perfect for when you’re pouring hot water over coffee.
BALMUDA’s toaster and kettle come in black or white and retail for $329 USD and $179 USD respectively. You can pick up your own on Amazon or via BALMUDA’s website.
