Watch the 'Community' Cast Reunite for a Table Read
Featuring a special appearance from ‘The Mandalorian’ star Pedro Pascal.
The cast of Dan Harmon‘s beloved TV series Community finally reunited for their highly-anticipated Zoom table read. Donald Glover, Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong were all present for the event, along with a special appearance from The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal.
Greendale Community College’s best students gathered to read through Season 5’s “Cooperative Polygraphy.” The episode focuses on the execution of Pierce Hawthorne’s will (portrayed by Chevy Chase who wasn’t present during both the table read and the filmed episode) with Pascal taking over Walton Goggin’s role of the executor, Mr. Stone. Despite Pascal’s uncontrollable laughter near the end, the cast manages to rouse the same energy as the filmed episode and follow the story’s highs and lows. The table read also made for short side comments from the group and quick pauses to regain their composure, really attesting to how well-written the show was.
The table read benefitted charities José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods as they can continue to provide coronavirus relief efforts. While the livestream is over, the video is still up for viewing and fans can continue to make donations.
