Maluma Dances Through Europe in "Qué Chimba" Video
Watch the singer bring Medellin music to the streets of Prague and Munich.
After embarking on his 11:11 Tour in Europe, Maluma canceled the rest of his shows due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In between cities, a video conversation with his creative director Tes shows the Colombian singer suggesting a way to make the most of their time there. He proposes bringing the vibrancy of Medellin to the rest of the world by making a spontaneous video for his single, “Qué Chimba.”
Produced by Victor Cárdenas, the electronic guaracha leaked early through DJs and became an instant hit at the dance clubs in Colombia. Due to popular demand, Maluma officially released the single earlier than expected.
The visuals portray the inescapable upbeat energy of the song as the reggaeton singer dances his way through the streets of Prague and Munich. Directed by Maluma and Tes, the impromptu video was shot entirely on a mobile phone and reflects the time in early March in the midst of the tour. Now back home in Medellin, Maluma is using his time and platform to support his El Arte de los Sueños foundation and provide materials for hospitals in Colombia.
