Justin Timberlake and Anderson .Paak Host A Living Room Dance Party for "Don't Slack" Video
Starring actress Anna Kendrick.
Fresh off his disco-themed duet with SZA in “The Other Side,” Justin Timberlake continues to team up with some of the biggest names in music for the Trolls World Tour Soundtrack, this time enlisting fellow GRAMMY Award winner Anderson .Paak and actress Anna Kendrick for the new “Don’t Slack” music video.
The single first released back at the top of March, with Timberlake revealing that he and Anderson .Paak have talked about working on a project that’s a little larger in scope after this single. The music video features the superstars invading Kendrick’s house, following her through her morning routine and trying to inject some optimism into her character’s gloomy outlook. By the time she makes it to her living room, her body involuntarily starts dancing. Anderson .Paak also plays drums on the track. The entirety of the film’s soundtrack was produced by Justin Timberlake as a follow-up to the success of 2016’s Trolls with the aim to infuse funk, country, techno, classical, pop and rock to follow the film’s music-driven plot.
