The New HBO Series 'BETTY' Kicks Off With a Digital Premiere Party and Giveaway

Skateboarding fans, mark your calendars. On Friday, May 1 at 8:30 p.m. EDT, HBO is hosting a digital premiere party in celebration of the debut of its new series BETTY. The show follows a diverse group of young women navigating their lives through the predominantly male-oriented world of skateboarding, set against the backdrop of New York City.
The event will feature a curated lineup of DJ sets streamed via Instagram Live for one night only, inviting anyone to join in the celebration, especially those with an interest in skate, youth culture, music and art films. The premiere party will be free and accessible to the public via the @BettyHBO Instagram handle.
In the lead up to the party, HBO is offering the chance to win exclusive merch inspired by BETTY. The series premiere giveaway is chock full of limited-edition pieces, including skateboards by Unity, wheels by Canal NYC, hoodies by COME TEES and customizable tote bags from the BETTY crew themselves. The giveaway will go live on April 29 at 9 a.m. EDT and will close the day of the premiere on May 1 at 9 a.m. EDT. The six-episode half-hour series BETTY debuts Friday, May 1 at 11 p.m. EDT, exclusively on HBO. The series will also be available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms.
