Benny The Butcher and his Black Soprano Family family have announced a new global label partnership with Entertainment One (eOne) with major plans for new music releases for the imprint’s roster throughout 2020. BSF made the news known through a new “Da Mob” music video which sees Benny at his lyrical best alongside members Heem and Rick Hyde. The single is from the upcoming project Benny The Butcher & DJ Drama Presents: Gangsta Grillz X BSF Da Respected Sopranos, slated to release in June.

“This is a dream come true to me,” Benny said of the new partnership. “A dream that started in my head in 2011 while I was in prison. The seeds were planted while I was at Elmira correctional facility and when I was released in 2012, I’ve spent every day since working to bring this vision to fruition.”

The nearly five minute video was shot and directed by Diggers with stark black and white visuals highlighting the introduction of Heem and Hyde. The Griselda Records-championed aesthetic carries over here too, as the hard-hitting and grimy Buffalo rhymes are full of 90s sports references, details on how to move cautiously in the streets and speaking aspirations into existence.

Benny continued, “It’s been one of my dreams to do a label deal and put my homies in position to win. I want to expose the talent from my area and I want to expose the world to the talent they may not have heard unless it was brought to you by Black Soprano Family. I see us as leaders. I’m cut from that cloth.”
