Brooklyn drill upstart 22Gz — who recently featured in our New Gen series for Spring 2020 — has delivered his latest mixtape alongside Atlantic Records, Growth & Development. The new project, which follows last year’s The Blixky Tape and includes hit singles “Blixky Gang Freestyle” and “Suburban, Pt. 2,” continues to exemplify the 22-year-old’s riotous energy, bringing forth aggressive lyrics and militant deliveries that continue to sculpt out his fast-paced rise.

Running for 13 tracks that span 35 minutes, Growth & Development is chock full of hard-hitting beats and tongue-rolling rhymes, continuing to meld the US and UK’s drill scenes through moderate tempo beats, grim deliveries, and visceral street poetics. 22Gz carries the mixtape entirely by himself, opting for no features as he showcases his abilities before his expected debut album arrives in the near future.

You can stream Growth & Development below. The Brooklynite has also shared a new visual for “No Questions,” which can also be viewed below.

For more new music, don’t miss Usher, Lil Jon, and Ludacris’ new single “SexBeat.”
