Nike SB Dunk Low "Blue Fury" Gets Official Look and Release Date
A ‘Blue’s Clues’-indebted style for the Swoosh’s ever-popular skate sneaker.
Nike SB has readied a new slate of releases as March turns to April, the first of which is a SB Dunk Low “Blue Fury.” Awash in cerulean hues both radiant and relaxed, this colorful SB Dunk calls to mind images of a beloved cartoon character: Blue, the lively dog from Nickelodeon‘s Blue’s Clues.
No matter if the cartoon canine inspiration is intentional or otherwise, the “Blue Fury” uses its eponymous shade on the vast majority of its upper, with the nubuck base and suede overlays alike dressed in bright blue. Swooshes and tongue tags both deviate from the norm by equipping a rich royal blue hue — as does the heel tab, which embroiders a navy Nike text hit over its metallic silver base.
Insoles are equipped with a heel Zoom Air unit for responsive shock absorption and comfort. Midsoles are made of a sleek white rubber, and icy blue outsoles complete the look by contrasting with the aforementioned heel tab.
The Nike SB Dunk Low “Blue Fury” retails for $100 USD, and is set to hit Nike SNKRS China on April 1. In typical SB Dunk release fashion, it’ll likely see a staggered rollout at other retailers and skate shops over the course of the month.
Moving from skate to Nike Sportswear, Jerry Lorenzo has announced the release of Fear of God’s Air Fear of God Raid in the black/gray “F&F” colorway, a direct nod to the classic Air Raid‘s most famous makeup.
