Nepenthes Brings Video Editorial to Streets of Tokyo for SS20
Starring Japanese actor Ken Mitsuishi.
Last month, Nepenthes unveiled an artful editorial lensed under a sunny golden-hour haze. The Japanese label has returned with yet another editorial, this time in the form of a video starring Japanese actor Ken Mitsuishi styled in a number of SS20 garments from brands like Needles, Engineered Garments, South2 West8 and more.
The video is set on the streets of Tokyo under a faint overcast day. Mitsuishi is seen in a number of bold pieces, like an oversized parka, baggy trousers, floral button-ups, velvet slides, trench coats and blazers, styled together for both clean and bold looks. One noteworthy piece is the asymmetrical Ghille sneakers. In the video, Mitsuishi is in a white pair that’s embellished with contrasting paint-splatter details, matched with heavily patterned pants and a long navy trench coat. Other pieces like the navy blazer, Engineered Garments’ pinstriped button-up and a black and yellow robe near the end complete the colorful arrangement of styles.
