COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT & Spalwart Drop Silvery Pitch Low Sneakers

After unveiling a set of tote bags last month, COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT is back with another key piece from its seasonal collection — Pitch Low Sneakers. This drop is a collaboration with Spalwart, a Swedish footwear label that crafts all its shoes with vintage machinery from the ’50s — coming in three distinctive colorways — black, beige and navy.

Starting at the top of the silhouette is a woven “SPALWART” label, set at the tip of a metallic tongue. Smooth full-grain leather is placed at the heel counter, complemented by lush suede accents at the lower rear quarter, eyelet panel and toecap. Offsetting the supple textures, silvery nylon fabrics are placed at the collars, sidewalls and toebox, all of which sit above a thin two-toned midsole. As a final note, the shoe comes with a wide front bumper that’s been subtly textured to minimize scuffing.
