A CCTV-Inspired Lookbook Spotlights IISE's SS20 Collection
Re-imagining itself as a dominating future corporate entity of South Korea.

Drawing from South Korea’s prominence in the global marketplace, established Seoul-based imprint IISE re-imagined itself as a dominating future corporate entity for Spring/Summer 2020. Tapping into the idea of being a leading conglomerate of the nation, the evocative range explores the balance between reality and power of Korean corporations.
Touching on the level of corporate presence in Korean society, IISE developed a lookbook inspired by CCTV monitoring. The video surveillance captures the label’s reinterpretation of uniforms through a series of fictional subsidiary companies: IISE Chemical/Pharmaceutical Division, IISE Heavy Industries, and its mother company, IISE CORP.
Technical fabrications dominate the collection with functional textiles manipulated to express contemporary takes on traditional silhouettes. Riddled throughout are subtle details like schematic and warning label designs, logos embedded into styling and proud pocketing in unexpected places. Rounding up the SS20 collection are pieces that utilize GORE-TEX toolings to continue the technical theme tied to IISE CORP.
