'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster' Is out Now for PlayStation 4' (UPDATE)

UPDATE (March 31, 2020): Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster has officially released exclusively on the PlayStation 4. Although it is only a timed-exclusive for the time being, the title can be pre-purchased on PC and Xbox One. However, purchases of the title unlock a free Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which includes the UDT Ghost Operator skin, two weapon blueprints, a weapon charm, new finishing move, voice quip, animated calling card, emblem and two Battle Pass tier skips.

Purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster via the PlayStation Network for $19.99 USD.

ORIGINAL STORY (March 30, 2020): According to reports and a recently released PlayStation Network listing, a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s campaign will launch tomorrow. Over the weekend, dataminers looked into this week’s upcoming updates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, both of which promote the new remaster.

A Twitter account predicted the campaign mode would arrive a day early on March 30, and before that, the game’s official title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered, was seen on a video games rating board. As of now, a PSN listing in Germany showcases the upcoming title.

The remaster will only include a campaign of Modern Warfare 2, which is set to focus on the story of Soap MacTavish and Captain Price, as well as the original game’s infamous “No Russian” mission. The campaign has been “completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting, and more”.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered is expected to arrive March 31 for an expected $30 USD. Check out the leaked trailer below.
