WACKO MARIA & Sublime Link for Collaborative Collection
Highlighting the legendary ska punk band’s iconic sun motif & tattoo logo.
WACKO MARIA has unveiled its collaborative collection with legendary ska punk band Sublime, originally appearing in the label’s Spring/Summer 2020 lookbook alongside partnerships with the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Rage Against the Machine, Bob Marley‘s Tuff Gong and Kinji Fukasaku’s Yakuza classic Battles Without Honor and Humanity.
Featuring an array of long-sleeved pieces, the collaborative collection includes two varsity jackets in black and blue highlighting an embroidery of the band’s tattoo emblem from their third and final self-titled studio album in 1996. Meanwhile, the assortment of white long-sleeved T-shirts sees a fusion of Sublime’s graphic logos, along with the iconic sun motif of their debut album 40oz. to Freedom and a Luchador-themed design of their single “Santeria.”
The collection’s long-sleeved T-shirts are priced at ¥12,000 JPY (approximately $110 USD) while the varsity jackets are at ¥28,000 JPY (approximately $250 USD). The collaborative WACKO MARIA and Sublime collection are available now at PARADISE TOKYO, WACKO MARIA Isetan Shinjuku, WACKO MARIA Hankyu Men’s Tokyo, the WACKO MARIA ONLINE STORE and regular dealers.
