After releasing Book of Ryan back in 2018, Royce da 5’9″ has returned with a new album titled The Allegory. The Slaughterhouse member and longtime Eminem affiliate steps out into his own as his eighth studio album also marks the first time the rapper has produced every record himself, according to DJ Booth.
In a recent interview with Big Boy, the Detroit native revealed that the album’s name comes from Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, which contemplates the “respective truths” that individuals hold based on their own viewpoints.
“The album speaks a lot about perspective, I’m intrigued by perspective these days. It’s amazing to me that two people could be looking at the same thing and seeing two totally different things.”@Royceda59 explains his album title #TheAllegory
